Pedestrian Project Gets Underway on U.S. 22 & 3

September 23, 2025

Lebanon, Ohio (Monday, September 22, 2025) - A pedestrian improvement project is getting under way on U.S. Route 22 (Montgomery Road) in Hamilton and Warren counties, with work starting this week.

The project extends from Cornell Road near I-275 in Hamilton County to Landen Drive in Warren County, and construction includes relocating the existing pedestrian devices onto pedestals for better accessibility; adding sidewalk and curb ramps to make crossings ADA compliant; and installing the associated conduit, wiring and pull boxes.

Construction started today, September 22, with contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation beginning work at Landed Drive. Crews will continue working on the east end of the project limits, making their way west as work progresses.

Throughout the project, traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in either direction during daytime hours of operation, from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Complete General Construction Company was awarded a contract in the amount of $863,797 to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in June 2026.

To help ensure the safety of the workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone
