Coronavirus Update - March 18th

March 18, 2020
Deerfield Township Coronavirus Updates and Resources

As we continue to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in coordination with the Warren County Health District, State of Ohio, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we wanted to provide an update to the community on our ongoing operations.

Incident Command Structure

Earlier this week our Incident Command Structure was put into place. This structure allows for all of our emergency response command staff to communicate in a fluid manner.  We are also coordinating with the City of Mason’s Incident Command on activities related to the community.

Resources

As we settle into the temporary reality of social distancing, trying to slow the spread of the Coronavirus, we, at Deerfield Township, wanted to ensure that you, your family, and your business have the necessary resources to have any questions answered. To that end, we want to share some avenues for information that have been put together by us and our regional partners.

The Mason Deerfield Chamber has put together two incredible toolkits. One is for local businesses and one in support of the numerous eateries we have in the region by promoting takeout food options. They can be found by visiting:

Additionally, our Parks and Recreation staff put together “At Home Activity Resources”, which is posted on www.DeerfieldRec.com. This page showcases ideas for families to stay engaged.

Some more notable activities include:

  • Kings Local School District is posting a Daily Art Challenge from their Art Teacher, Stacy Hoffert, on their facebook page
  • Cincinnati Zoo has Daily Home Safari videos that they’re posting
  • Great Parks of Hamilton County has a blog for Parks at Home with nature activity ideas

We are continuously looking for additional resources and information and will share those as they become available.
