Deerfield Township is now accepting applications for the positions of Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic and Full-Time Firefighter/EMT with the Deerfield Township Fire Rescue Department (DTFR). As the most populous community in Warren County, Deerfield Township offers an exceptional opportunity to serve a rapidly growing community that maintains a high quality of life for its residents and businesses. These positions work under the direction of a company officer and provide all-hazards services throughout Deerfield Township.

This position performs fire suppression duties; assesses and treats acutely ill and injured citizens; conducts rescue operations; operates emergency fire apparatus and medical equipment; performs fire inspections and delivers fire prevention programs; participates in all-hazards training; maintains station facilities and equipment; and performs other related duties as assigned.

DTFR is an ISO Class 2 Fire and EMS Department consisting of 68 full-time and 2 part-time personnel, serving more than 40,000 residents across 16 square miles. The department averages over 5,000 calls for service annually and operates out of four strategically located firehouses. DTFR is committed to providing an exceptional work environment, supported by high-quality apparatus, equipment, training, and facilities designed to foster your professional growth.
